Contribtastic 2.1.1

After a test period by the EVE-Central Google Group members, I am pleased to announce Contribtastic 2.1.1 for EVE-Central. Contribtastic is our cache-scanning no-nonsense upload client.

New in this version:

  • Automatic cache folder detection! Everything happens under the hood, including when the EVE client updates
  • Multiple client support! Multiple EVE clients are now detected and managed automatically.
  • New icons
  • Application remembers its tray status – it will relaunch to tray only if it was last hidden in the tray
  • Little bug fixes

Get it from the software download page.

  3. @Serpentine: “Soon”. There is a skeleton available, but needs some more time.

  4. I get following Error after a new Install from 2.1.1

    Traceback (most recent call last):
File “evec_upload\main.pyo”, line 253, in OnTimer

ValueError: max() arg is an empty sequence

  5. Happy to help test a Mac version – you’ve got my email address in this comment, drop me a line when there’s something to test and I’ll have a play :)

I use multiple clients too so I can test that aspect as well :)

    Looking forward to Mac support!!

  6. It would be kind of cool if there was a statistics page showing the number of uploads per day and a leaderboard of the biggest uploaders. Just a thought.

  7. doesn’t work. “Using folder: autodetect (or something)”

However after some restarts i got it to find and upload something. Total counter: 17 uploads.

Started eve-central “suggestions page” and restarted this tool. And lost it completely: it is just crashes every time i start it. Logs show different traces. Tried to reinstall – no luck.

  8. Please look at making the auto-scan optional. I can’t get it to work, probably because I have to use a Mapped Network Drive (I play on Mac) for the cache files, and have Contribtastic running on a separate machine. At the very least, a configurable option for where to begin looking would be great :-)

    I have the same problem as commenter #7 – it just sits there saying Using Folder: Autodetect. The log when I close says the following;

    Traceback (most recent call last):
File “evec_upload\main.pyo”, line 253, in OnTimer
    File “evec_upload\scanner.pyo”, line 107, in default_locations
ValueError: max() arg is an empty sequence
    Traceback (most recent call last):

    File “evec_upload\scanner.pyo”, line 107, in default_locations
ValueError: max() arg is an empty sequence

  9. P.S. Contribtastic is running on a Windows machine, with a mapped network drive to the Mac’s Eve folder..

  10. Hi, thanks for the great new eve-central layout. Looks great!

Ich wanted to ask if there is any news for the Contribtastic Mac-Version? Or is there way (documentation) to compile the source code for os x?

  11. I found that running the app as admin on windows vista solves a crashing problem. Cool concept btw

  12. cant get it to work. version 2.1.1 running on win 7 64 bit. Running as admin. The issue is just like #7 above. It just sits using folder: autodetecting folders

then it scans….and nothing…just goes idle and doesnt do anything

    have tried uninstall/reinstall…still wont work…help
