Minor site updates
EVE-Central has received a minor site update today. Two new features were introduced:
- The usesystem parameter is now supported on the marketstat API call.
- Statistics are now recalculated on upload, flushing any cached data. The point-in-time statistics are now stored as well, which will lead to a future site feature.
Feel free to submit futher patches and features. I have a few patches to merge into Contribtastic and the website once they are tested.
Hi
Are there new contribstatic version yet?

Not sure if this is the right place.. I was unable to connect to this website using google’s Public DNS http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html , I switched over to my ISPs DNS and was able to connect fine, other sites I was able to connect fine as well with G’s DNS. Something you may want to follow up with. Cheers.

The prices for wetware mainframes isn’t working right on the site. I think the ID for the broken ones is being used instead.

I saw here (http://bugs.mmmetrics.co.uk/issues/220) that eve-central pulls data from eve-metrics. How often does it do so?
It also says that the eve-central uploader also uploads to eve-metrics. Does that include the new contribtastic?

Any chance for another update? Contribtastic stops working from time to time and needs to be restarted (“see the ..log for details”), AND it would be very nice if the detection of the correct cache directory after a patch was automatic – most basic users won’t be able to do that, and thus it feels wrong to recommend it to them.

Hey, will we get an updated version of contrib soon? Mine is crashing every now and then (hanging, needs to be restarted), and the above mentioned detection of the ‘current cache directory’ is a PITA as well. Otherwise, I would really like to contribute at least by uploading my market data…

“The usesystem parameter is now supported on the marketstat API call.”
I learned how to get Eve-Central data into my Excel sheet just in time, it seems
I would also like to help by using contribtastic.
Will download right now, and keep looking for updates

I use EVE launcher and have not been able to get Contribtastic to work at all. Today, for the first time since I downloaded it, I was able to get it to work by starting the EVE client without using EVE launcher. I also had to find the “new” cache folder at:
C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\cache\MachoNet\87.237.38.200\249\CachedMethodCalls
I also noticed that the program keeps wanting to head back to the “old” 248 folder as part way through my experiment the program quite uploading new files. Once I changed the folder back to the “new” one I uploaded over 1,000 files. Now that I know how to make Contribtastic work I will log on without EVE launcher now and again to get prices; however, I REALLY would like to have Contribtastic work with EVE launcher.

Will there be any new updates to either eve-central website or Contribtastic?
