Contribtastic 2.0-alpha3 is now available
The latest version of Contribtastic is now available. We’re up to alpha3 now.
Fixed in this release:
- Crash when reading certain NPC standing cache files
- Possibility of having two upload threads cruising at the same time, leading to duplicate uploads
- No longer uploads old cache files on first startup or after reseting the configuration
Login functionality is still broken (“by design”).
The download site is still the same: http://dl.stackfoundry.org/contribtastic/. You can also file official bug reports at http://bugs.stackfoundry.org, but comments in the blog or forum are also welcome.
Works fine on my newer cache folder but if I point it at a folder that contains slightly older cache files I still get a crash. I’ll send you the older files so you can see why. I imagine there may be a few users out there who may have older cache files still on their systems.

WOOT! I had to change the cache folder from 217 to 219, but after that it appears to work fine. Windows 7 x64 Pro FYI. It feels great having an uploader where I don’t have to export files, I -never- remembered to do that until just after I closed the market window. AWESOME WORK!

No crashes here, using Win 2008 x64. There seems to be cases where it won’t upload all the orders.
When using your Orders tab, and doing a view details down the list, it misses some
I just ran through 65 or so orders, watching the Contribtastic! screen the whole time, and when I did a manual scan, it uploaded 10

Seems to be working fine on Vista x64.
Although I do have a suggestion: would it be possible to specify more than one cache folder for thous of us, who have multiple EVE-Installation on the same box?

Yes. We definitely need Contribtastic to support multiple clients.

That is in the works – you can hack the support in right now, but we will be adding a UI to configure multiple cache folders.
In addition, we will be adding the capability to export each upload to a local CSV file, if you want to use other applications which are not yet cache enabled.

Can you minimize it to the system tray? And yes, Multiclient setup plz

You can minimize it to the system tray. Simply right click on the icon to bring up the option. However, it doesn’t persist across restarts.

I get it only minimized to the taskbar (Win XP). Any suggestions?

My problem is that the Settings don’t last.
I try to set the username, the password, the Create Backups and Offer Suggestion options, but they don’t last.
Any solutions?

I think i have a similar problem as #7.
When starting up the MarketUploader i get an error message, which refers to uploader.exe.log, which writes:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File “uploader.py”, line 22, in
File “wx\_core.pyo”, line 7978, in __init__
File “wx\_core.pyo”, line 7552, in _BootstrapApp

File “evec_upload\main.pyo”, line 70, in __init__
File “evec_upload\config.pyo”, line 59, in __init__
File “evec_upload\config.pyo”, line 126, in load_config
File “pickle.pyo”, line 1370, in load
File “pickle.pyo”, line 858, in load
KeyError: ‘\x00′
Btw. it started doing this before the Dominion release so i dont think it has something to do with this. I also worked around it by uploading with Eve Metrics uploader. Eve-Central got updated, but this suddenly stopped as well a couple a days ago (Eve Metric site get updated though).
Any suggestions?
